On Saturday April 21st, members of the Monterey Bailliage gathered at the front of Monterey’s World Famous Sardine Factory on Old Cannery Row to raise the flag of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in celebration of the application of wine, food and good company around the world. To the sounds of the French National Anthem La Marseillaise the shield of the Chaîne flew high above the restaurant overlooking the Monterey Bay.
